Max E. Williams, AIA, AICP, has more than 40 years of experience providing civic, institutional and private clients with the highest level of service and innovative design solutions. In 1982, he founded Williams Architects, Inc. where his project work incorporated virtually all building types including transportation facilities, mixed-use, parking structures, healthcare facilities, corporate offices/headquarters, maintenance facilities, city and county administrative offices, industrial/commercial/retail centers and recreation facilities. Prior to that, Mr. Williams was a project and environmental planner for Victor Gruen Associates, an international planning firm credited with creating the shopping mall concept. He also served as branch office manager and Architect at the prestigious William L. Pereira Architects, where he managed the firm's offices in Tehran, Iran and Doha, Qatar. His responsibilities included program manager, project manager and construction coordinator. Mr. Williams received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic before serving as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers, leading a combat engineer platoon in Vietnam. He completed his Masters of Planning (Urban and Regional Environment) at the University of Southern California in 1974.
